SERVING AT WESTSIDE
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:10-11
Our Ministry Teams are a great way to get involved, meet others within our church body and serve together at Westside.
HOW TO START SERVING
Take a look at the team descriptions below and determine which team you would like to serve on. Click on the “TEAM FORM” link to download the PDF form. Once you fill out the form, please return it at a Sunday gathering by dropping it into one of the giving slots at the Connect Desks or giving stations. If you would like more information you can contact us at email@example.com and we'd be happy to chat with you about the different teams, where the biggest needs are, and how your individual gifts, passions and talents fit.
MINISTRY TEAM ORIENTATIONS
Join us every 3rd Sunday of the month after each gathering for an orientation to learn about how you can get connected and serve on one of our ministry teams.
Team members on Café are the people you’ll come into contact with shortly after entering our doors. Coffee, tea, baked goods and great conversations will give you a boost on Sunday mornings.
Team members on our Connect Centre connect you with Community Groups, Ministry Teams and/or information you need and can provide you with answers to questions you may have about Westside. They are also responsible for managing the giving stations in the lobbies providing assistance when needed.
Team members on Facilities serve behind the scenes by keeping the Centre clean, ready for Sundays and looking great. There are three different cleaning times and they are on Thursday evenings, Sunday mornings and Sunday afternoons. A great team to join to serve in a very practical and tangible way.

Up for a new challenge? Love to organize and manage people? At Westside, we want to encourage you to go to that next level in serving. Each Ministry Team needs leaders. This volunteer leader is responsible for the operations of that designated area. The leader also manages his or her team through regular communication, recruiting, scheduling and training.
Don’t worry, we won’t leave you in the dark. We’ll gladly work alongside you, training and equipping you to be comfortable in your new role as a leader.
